Flue Gas Injection

This new technology reduces the firebox temperature by taking a part of the flue gas from the stack and injecting it near the radiant tubes through specially designed nozzles on the heater floor.

Furnace Improvements has developed Flue Gas Injection (FGI) as a remedy to:

  • High tube skin temperatures

  • Coking issues

  • Increasing capacity but not increasing radiant flux

This technology requires the following additional hardware:

  • FGI Fan (Induced Draft Fan)

  • Cold Flue Gas Ducting to Heater Floor
