We provide following low cost and optimum solutions for your fired heaters to achieve the following goals: Increased capacity
- Better reliability
- Longer run lengths
- Lower NOx emissions
- Improved combustion
Revamping
If you are looking to increase the capacity or efficiency of your fired heater, please use our services to spend your valuable money wisely. We can identify the maximum benefit for your bucks.
Revamping fired heaters is a practical and effective way to improve heater performance. This focuses on working with existing components and in result, investment and downtime is minimized. Most of FIS projects have been accessed on the following areas:
- Capacity Increase
- Efficiency Improvement
- NOX Reduction
- A fired heater revamping project typically has the following phases:
- Phase I Engineering Study
- Phase II Project Design Basis Report with +/- 10% Cost Estimate
- Phase III Detailed Engineering and Project Services
FIS scope of services include process design and rating of fired heaters, modeling of existing fired heaters and providing API data sheets to the mechanical group. The mechanical engineer provides design and engineering services and prepares material requisition for bought out items. The structural engineer carries out the structural design of the heater. Drafting personnel along with designers prepare the engineering and fabrication drawings of the heaters. Fabrication and Erection Contractors are selected to provide fabrication and erection services. FIS engineers help in startup commissioning the heaters and ensuring that performance is met or exceeded.
Training Services
Industry is thinning on experience and it is the survival of the fittest. We train your engineers and operators in every department of fired heater.
New Heater Design and Supply
We have provided design of Crude, Vacuum, and Hot Oil Heaters. All of our heaters have been working without any problem. Crude and Vacuum Heaters for CITGO were designed for 8 years run length. FIS designed the transfer line for these heaters to ensure that there is not mismatch at the heater outlet conditions.
Troubleshooting
If you are having any problem with your fired heater, let us know and we will use our experience and computer programs to identify the cause and fix the problem for you.
CFD Modeling
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) involves the solution of mass, momentum and heat transfer equations in a particular domain, which is comprised of the geometry of interest. CFD was developed during the past two decades. Its accuracy in predicting real world problems has improved with the present age computers and better models.
At Furnace Improvements we utilize CFD to study the design and operating conditions of heaters, locate problems and provide solutions.
